The San Diego Children’s Choir trains over 2,000 singers at 13 locations throughout the county and performs in over 25 concerts and events each year. The Choir relies on hundreds of hours of volunteer participation in order to put on a successful choir season. Whether you can devote a few hours or many, we appreciate your help.
Volunteering with the Choir sparks a deeper sense of community and an understanding of the enduring educational goals, friendships, and personal development that the San Diego Children’s Choir makes possible for our children.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
As a non-profit organization, the San Diego Children’s Choir depends daily upon many volunteers to support the Choir. Volunteer opportunities range across an array of services and activities each year—creating a safe, fun, and effective learning environment and community.
If you’re a member of the Choir, each family is asked to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per year.
The Family Association
As the chorister families’ volunteer leadership arm of the Choir, the Family Association provides a variety of extracurricular activities and resources for singers and families.
Building a sense of community
Organizing social events
Organizing family-oriented activities
Chaperoning performances
Creating collaborative projects that bring people together
Board Positions
We’re always looking to add new perspectives to our Board of Directors. Family members, especially parents of choristers, help to provide a unique and collaborative voice. Additionally, these positions can help support our committee work.
